1. General information

This website is operated by C.W. Slok, trading under the name Discover Real Unique Pieces, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 51964147. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

2. Offer and authenticity

All items offered are unique, antique objects. Photographs and descriptions are prepared with great care, but minor variations in patina, colour or condition are inherent to antiques. Authenticity and provenance are stated to the best of our knowledge. Where available, a paper certificate (NBTHK, NTHK or equivalent) is included with the piece.

3. Prices and payment

All prices include VAT where applicable and exclude shipping costs. Payment is processed through Stripe (credit card, iDEAL, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or by bank transfer. A piece is reserved as soon as full payment has been received.

4. Shipping

Worldwide shipping is fully insured and uses climate-stable packaging. Delivery typically takes 5 to 15 business days, depending on destination and customs clearance. Any import duties in the destination country are the responsibility of the buyer.

5. Legal restrictions

In the Netherlands, antique Japanese swords fall under an exemption of the Weapons and Ammunition Act when held as collector's items. Buyers are responsible for informing themselves about the legislation in their country of destination. We sell exclusively to adult buyers.

6. Returns

Due to the unique nature of antiques, we do not offer a standard right of return. Every order is discussed beforehand; a private viewing or extensive video call prior to purchase is always possible. In the event of a demonstrably incorrect description, the piece will be taken back against full refund.

7. Applicable law

Dutch law applies to all agreements. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
